The Rotary Club of Simcoe donates $500 towards the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home’s Residents’ Council spring fundraiser

Thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Simcoe, residents of the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home (NHNH) will have all the necessary supplies to keep them entertained and find valuable connections throughout the year.

On Friday, March 24, 2023, the Rotary Club of Simcoe donated $500 to go towards the NHNH Residents’ Council spring fundraiser.

The funds will provide residents with musical entertainment, bingo prizes, craft supplies, large print word finds, colouring books, and pencil crayons/markers. These programs and activities will help our residents maintain social connections and provide the opportunity for enjoyment, relaxation, creativity and time to reminisce.

“The Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home is extremely grateful for the generosity of the Rotary Club of Simcoe,” said Linda Schaeffer, Activation Coordinator at the NHNH. “The support from our community groups goes a long way towards helping the Nursing Home support our wonderful residents and their families. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing friends at the Rotary Club of Simcoe for their generous donation of $500.”

Donated funds will also support the NHNH purchase special treats from Tim Hortons, the Apple Place, Courtland Bakery and more.
