The Norfolk General Hospital Maternal Newborn Clinic offers compassionate care for women and their families. The Maternal Newborn Clinic does follow-up assessments on mothers and their healthy newborns.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

The clinic is currently open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The Maternal Newborn Clinic is available to women with or without a primary care provider to ensure all have access to comprehensive prenatal care.

CLINIC LOCATION:

The Maternal Newborn Clinic is located on the 3rd floor of the Labour and Delivery Unit on 3B

SERVICES:

• Routine prenatal visits for individuals without a primary care provider.
• Newborn wellness checks (weight, jaundice, breastfeeding support)
• Urgent pregnancy assessments
• Non-Stress Testing (NST)
• RH Immune Globulin Injection (RhoGAM) at 28 weeks of Pregnancy

HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:

Patients with or without a primary healthcare provider can book an appointment at the maternal clinic by calling Norfolk General Hospital at 519-426-0130 ext. 3204 or by fax at 519-429-6982. The clinic will also accept walk-ins. Please note, that the maternal clinic will offer care for women active in labour, effective November 21, 2022.
