Pain Management

Effective pain management is a goal of the healthcare team. Members of the team will ask you to rate your pain on a 0 to 10 scale (0 is no pain and 10 is the worst/severe pain). This pain rating scale is used to assess if the medication you have received is successful in decreasing your pain, if not, changes will be made. The nurse will offer pain medication at regular intervals as ordered by your physician.
