NGH COVID Assessment Centre no longer accepting walk-ins
With an increase in daily COVID-19 cases and demand for testing, Norfolk General Hospital’s (NGH) COVID-19 Assessment Centre is no longer accepting walk-in assessments. Testing is done by appointment only.
To schedule a COVID-19 test, make an appointment online by clicking here. Based on provincial guidelines, you should get tested at an assessment centre only if you:
- You are currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms that are not related to other known causes or conditions
- You have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive person (if you know when you were exposed, get tested seven days after your last exposure and stay in self-isolation. If you do not know when you were exposed, get tested right away)
- You have received a COVID Alert app exposure notification
- You are a resident or worker in a setting that has a COVID-19 outbreak, as identified by your local public health unit
Please see the provincial testing guidelines for more information by clicking here .
The NGH COVID-19 Assessment Centre is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm. It’s located at the Robinson Street entrance.
