Influenza A Outbreak declared over on the 4B Complex Continuing Care Unit

(Simcoe, ON) – Norfolk General Hospital (NGH) has declared the Influenza A outbreak on the 4B Complex Continuing Care Unit over.

The outbreak was declared on January 13, 2025, after 10 patients tested positive for a respiratory illness. Infection control measures were put in place to stop the spread, and the unit has now reopened to visitors.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at all times while visiting patients.
