Award-winning soprano to perform in Simcoe in support of NGH and NHNH
(Simcoe) – A special afternoon of music is coming to Simcoe this March, and every ticket sold will directly support patient and resident care at Norfolk General Hospital (NGH) and Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home (NHNH).
The Volunteer Association to NGH and NHNH is hosting “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” a fundraising concert featuring internationally acclaimed soprano Victoria Gydov on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Colborne Village United Church, Simcoe.
Funds raised through Volunteer Association events help purchase medical equipment for the hospital and provide meaningful touches that bring comfort to residents at the nursing home. In Ontario, hospitals rely on community support to fund equipment and improvements that enhance care for patients and residents.
Victoria Gydov is a classically trained soprano originally from Copenhagen, Denmark. She has performed across Europe, the United States, and Canada and is known for her work in opera, musical theatre, jazz, Christian contemporary, and most recently, film inspired vocal music.
“This concert is a meaningful way for our community to support local health care,” said Margaret Saunders, Volunteer Association representative. “Every ticket purchased helps us give back to patients and residents in a very real way.”
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling Margaret Saunders at 226-931-5979 or Judy Boughner at 519-582-3892, or by visiting the NGH Volunteer Association Gift Shop Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Refreshments will be served following the concert.
