West Street Construction News: Parking Lot Entrance on West Street Reopens

We are excited to announce that the West Street road construction project in Simcoe has entered its final stages. This means that the West Street parking lot entrance is once again accessible.

While construction activities will continue on West Street over the next few weeks, we want to assure you that these ongoing works will not disrupt our emergency services.

Patients, visitors, and staff may still encounter minor delays when entering or exiting the main West Street parking lot, though they are expected to be minimal.

Back in May 2023, construction crews embarked on an extensive West Street Reconstruction project, covering the area from Holden Avenue to Brook Street in Simcoe. We are delighted to report that the project is on track to conclude within the next few weeks.

Phase Two of the West Street reconstruction project is scheduled to commence next spring, allowing construction crews to finalize the project spanning from Brook Street to Talbot Street. Please be aware that any changes to hospital access during Phase Two of the construction project will be carefully coordinated with the construction company and communicated well in advance.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your patience and understanding during this construction period.
