Today is International Overdose Awareness Day
Today (August 31) is International Overdose Awareness Day.
The day’s purpose is to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related death. It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends, remembering those who have died or had a life-altering injury due to overdose.
Ashley Prues, a dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Norfolk General Hospital, recently sat down with myFM 98.9. During the discussion, she emphasized the significance of this day and shed light on the resources accessible at Holmes House in Simcoe.
