Temporary parking lot access constructed at the corner of Bellevue Avenue and West Street

(Monday, June 5, 2023) – Due to the ongoing construction of West Street in Simcoe, some temporary changes have been made to improve traffic flow at the Norfolk General Hospital (NGH) West Street entrance parking lot.

On Monday, June 5, 2023, a temporary driveway will open at the corner of Bellevue Avenue and West Street. This means motorists will enter through the West Street entrance parking lot and exit onto Belleview Avenue. Vehicles can also access the West Street entrance parking lot from Bellevue Avenue

All vehicles exiting the parking lot will exit by turning right onto Bellevue Avenue and make their way through the subdivision. Signage will be in place to guide traffic and make the public aware of these temporary changes.

Further announcements will be issued as required to make the public and staff aware of any impact on parking or site access.

Please note that EMS, and ambulance crews will continue to have quick access to the Emergency Department during this time.

NGH thanks everyone for their co-operation in allowing construction crews to work safely to complete the project as quickly as possible.
