Respiratory outbreak declared over at Norfolk General Hospital’s 4B Unit

(NGH) – January 12, 2023 – The respiratory outbreak at Norfolk General Hospital’s (NGH) 4B Complex Continuing Care Unit is officially over.

The outbreak on the 4B unit was declared on December 20, 2022 after five patients developed respiratory symptoms.

The outbreak came to an end on Thursday, January 12, 2023, after enhanced monitoring of patients and staff showed there had been no evidence of further transmission and no new additional respiratory cases on the unit.
