COVID-19 outbreak declared over at Norfolk General Hospital’s 3B Unit

Tuesday, October 25, 2022 – An outbreak of COVID-19 on the 3B Medical/Surgical Unit at Norfolk General Hospital (NGH) has been resolved.

It ended today after 14 days of enhanced monitoring of patients and staff showed there had been no evidence of further transmission and no new additional COVID-19 cases on the unit. The outbreak was declared on October 10.

Norfolk General Hospital was able to resolve this outbreak due to the dedication and commitment of our teams to implement and consistently practise infection prevention and control measures.

At this time, the 3E Medical Unit remains in a COVID-19 outbreak
