Operating Rooms

24 hour a day coverage is available for emergency surgery. The Depoartment of Anesthesia also provides full 24 hour coverage. Elective procedures are done Monday through Friday.

Both open and laparoscopic (keyhole) general abdominal and gynecological surgeries are performed. Other types of surgery completed on a regular basis include ophthalmology, orthopedics, urology and Caesarian sections.

Surgery is performed on both adults and children. Approximately 72 percent of all cases are completed as daycare. Most patients are well enough to go home several hours after their surgery. Patient information on specific operations and diseases is available.
