Delhi Community Health Centre

A community-owned, non profit organization dedicated to providing quality health care to Delhi, Port Rowan and surrounding areas, DCHC opened on July 2, 2003. It is a state-of-the-art medical clinic offering flexible practice opportunities to physicians.

Six family physicians and a Paediatrician are currently working at the Delhi Community Health Centre. Our staff complement includes nurse practitioners, nursing, social work, mental health, pharmacy, laboratory, clerical and administrative.

A progressive 106-bed full service hospital, NGH offers surgical, medical, intensive care, coronary care, complex and restorative care and paediatric and obstetric services. Other professional services such as dietary and diabetic counselling, physiotherapy and occupational therapy are also offered. Norfolk General Hospital is one of the largest employers in the Simcoe area. Our Laboratory has been recognized as a leader in quality, performing some 200, 000 tests annually. Information Technology at Norfolk General Hospital is leading the way in electronic medical record keeping. The Operating Room is equipped with Minimally Invasive Surgical equipment. Some 5,500 procedures are performed annually in four theatres and our endoscopy suite. Norfolk residents have the benefit of reduced travel, faster diagnoses, earlier treatments and discharges with modernized equipment such as our 64-slice Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner and Digital Mammography unit.  Tertiary referrals are readily accessible in Hamilton, London and Kitchener.

Norfolk General Hospital admits approximately 4,000 patients annually with some 30, 000 attending the Emergency Department. At Norfolk General Hospital we are proud of our state of the art, six-bed Intensive Care Unit, fully equipped with the latest in cardiac equipment. Simcoe and the surrounding community continues to generously support new initiatives and endeavours, allowing Norfolk General Hospital to move forward providing the best possible care for their patients.

Norfolk Nuclear Medicine Service

Norfolk Nuclear Medicine Service is an independent health facility offering scans and studies to area patients.  The staff and physicians of Norfolk Nuclear Medicine are dedicated to supplying the patients and physicians of the Haldimand, Norfolk, Brant and Oxford area with the highest quality diagnostic testing available.  Our state-of-the-art medical equipment is networked to The Dept of Nuclear Medicine at St. Mary’s General Hospital, enabling immediate reporting of studies, when our interpreting physicians are not on site.

Port Dover Health Care Centre

This new lakeside centre, will accommodate up to eight physicians serving a population of approximately 10,000. It is scheduled to open in July 2012.

It is envisioned that this 24412 square foot structure will include a pharmacy, medical lab, diagnostic imaging centre, and mental health programs, just to name a few.
