Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home

Simcoe, ON – Outbreak precautions are in effect at The Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home due to a respiratory like illness. There are currently five residents showing two or more of the following symptoms; headache, cough, runny nose, fever, chills and sore throat.

Precautions include; resident isolation, increased cleaning, signage, halt to activities, freeze on new admissions and transfers. The Nursing Home will maintain communication with direct family members.

The Resident Yard Sale as previously scheduled for Saturday June 2, 2012 from 8am-12pm in the Activity Room has been postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date.

Visiting is still permitted at this time, however we ask that you please restrict yourself to visiting your family member only and avoid all other areas of the Nursing Home. Do not visit the Nursing Home if you are feeling ill.

Outbreak precautions will remain in effect until further notice. If family members have any immediate concerns about their loved one, please contact the Nursing Home. (519) 426-0130 Ext. 6972, 6971
