Volunteer Tag Fundraiser and convener Mary Kokus (25 years participating in Volunteer Tag day) w/patient, Dr. Sean O’ Sullivan demonstrates how scanning and archiving equipment will continue to improve efficiencies in the Emergency unit. The medical staff and patients are grateful for the ongoing fundraising efforts of the Volunteer Association.

Simcoe, ONThe Simcoe and Delhi Branch of the Volunteer Association to NGH and NHNH will be holding its Annual Tag Day on Friday May 4. The town wide events will see over 50 local Volunteers at various locations from 8am to 6pm asking for the public’s support in

exchange for a bright yellow tag of gratitude. Funds donated will help towards the purchase of hospital equipment. Volunteers in Simcoe hope to meet or exceed last years Tag Day fundraising efforts of $3,978.00.

Funds last year helped purchase new scanning and archiving software and equipment for the hospital which helps physicians such as Dr. Sean O’ Sullivan review patient history and diagnosis’s electronically from various patient care areas of the hospital. This new process will help decrease and eventually replace paper records and improve efficient record retrieval.

Tag Day has been a long tradition for the Volunteer Association and one of their largest community fundraisers. On Friday May 4, please purchase your bright yellow tag and support the Simcoe and Delhi Volunteer Association Tag Day. Your generosity helps maintain quality local health care.
