Patient Registration

The Patient Registration Department is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including all holidays. Everyone who needs hospital services must be registered.

When you come to the hospital, please bring your Ontario Health Card, your Norfolk General Hospital red card and any documentation that verifies you have insurance coverage that will pay for a semi - private or private room. Registering you for service will take less time if you bring this information with you!

If you are coming to the hospital directly from your doctor's office, or if you are coming for a pre-booked operation or procedure, please come to the Patient Registration department when you arrive. If you need Emergency services, please go directly to the Emergency Department. A Triage Nurse will assess the care you require and let you know how to register.
