Donor Recognition

Join the Giving Circle
Since its inception the Foundation has, through the support of Norfolk and the surrounding community, purchased many pieces of much needed capital equipment for Norfolk General Hospital. It is in appreciation of the substantial support of our donors that the Foundation has established a Donor Recognition Program to acknowledge donations in an appropriate manner.
The Donor Recognition Area is situated in the main lobby of the Hospital. The Flowering Dogwood tree, which is characteristic of Norfolk, was chosen as the focal point of the Donor Recognition Area. The Dogwood is symbolic of the strong roots of our supportive community, the success and longevity enjoyed by both, and the continued future growth anticipated. The tree and engraved donor panels were designed to reflect the nature and beauty of the Norfolk region. Donors who contribute an accumulative amount of $1000 or more to the Foundation are eligible for recognition. This includes annual donations, in memoriam donations, pledges, and legacy gifts such as estate bequests and life insurance policies. The Donor Wall is updated annually to reflect donations made during that year.
For further information on how you or your family, or business/organization may be honored on our donor wall please contact the Foundation Office (519) 426 - 0130 ext. 2456
