Registered Nurse - Surgical/Medical and Complex Continuing Care/Slow Stream/Alternate Level of Care Units

Part Time

Position Qualifications:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current experience in nursing on a medical unit
• Able to demonstrate professional practice reflecting the CNO, Department of Nursing and professional practice standards.
• Demonstrated ability and strong interpersonal skills with geriatric and long term care patients, families and other team members.
• Demonstrated ability in health teaching, nursing care plans, and communication skills following the nursing process
• Current experience in medical and pediatric nursing
• Demonstrates self direction in continuing education in geriatric nursing
• Current CPR certificate – BCLS-C level IV certification
• Excellent attendance record
• Computer Skills in electronic documentation
• Familiarity with Meditech order entry system preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to Patient Rights

Hours of Work:
Applicants must be willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
